Two Gorgeous homes; one perfect lot
Tremendous opportunity to own two homes on the same property, right in the heart of Poet's Corner.
Main home offers 3 bedrooms, 1 bath ,1162 square feet.
Second home offers 1 bedroom, 1 bath, 650 square feet.
The generous lot is .22 of an acre, at the quiet end of Stevenson Drive, just a couple of homes away from the entrance to the trail.
The main home has been thoughtfully and thoroughly remodeled, with an efficient kitchen offering white cabinetry, stainless appliances including a gas stove, kitchen sink with a view of the backyard and a large pantry area. Light fills the spacious living area thanks to the floor to ceiling windows and a slider which leads to the backyard. Bathroom has been remodeled and feels clean & fresh. REAL hardwood floors gleam underfoot, crown molding and high quality interior doors & molding complete the polished look throughout. The main home offers central HVAC, a ceiling fan in two of the bedrooms & a fireplace insert in the family room. The sprawling yard for the main home is like a park: with a patio area, verdant lawn, crepe myrtle tree and planter beds just waiting to see what you plant in them for Summer!
The rear home has its own separate entrance, and offers a living room, full kitchen (stainless steel appliance here too! Exciting!) and beautiful bathroom offering stall shower. It is laid out efficiently and neatly, has great natural light as well, and a slider leading to the private backyard with a small lawn area, patio and raised planter beds! This is truly the best spot for parents, kids that have come back to roost, and could also serve as an ideal rental!
What else? It just keeps getting more exciting people!
OWNED SOLAR! The current owners' electric bills have been $0; they just pay for gas. Not too shabby!
More superb details...
*Front porch you've always wanted: sit here with a coffee and wave to the neighbors walking their dogs/kids in strollers
*2 car attached garage
*Automatic sprinklers

Neighborhood
If you’re unfamiliar with Poet’s Corner, the neighborhood where this home is located, you’ll fall in love once you see it. It’s a neighborhood named after famous poets (Robert Louis Stevenson, in this case, but also home to: Chaucer, Byron, Elliot…you get the idea…) and beloved by all around here for the following reasons:
- The person who laid out the streets made sure to plant trees in the best way: the front yards and streets are tree-lined as can be, which oozes charm and verdant beauty.
- Proximity to the shopping centers mean this neighborhood is tremendously walkable and proximate to everything around. In fact, the trail entrance is 2-3 doors away from this house!
- It has become “the hangout”! You know that teenage house when you were young that kids loved to go to because it was so fun? Well, this is the house equivalent of that. Visit during Halloween and you’ll get the idea: everyone goes nuts decorating and the festivities are such that people come from all around to witness. Same goes for Christmas/wintertime holidays…
- Because of the flat streets, large lots and proximity to everything: this has become a magnet for not only new families but for folks downsizing and wanting to live near their children as well. This neighborhood appeals to all, young and old: it is charming, centrally located and indisputably cool.
